Assigned by Vice President of the Worldwide Partner Group to oversee the usability and information architecture efforts for the release of the Microsoft Partner Program online account management tool.

Challenge:

To conduct deep and informative information architecture and usability exercises in a highly condensed timeline in order to make a looming mid-year release to Web (RTW) date.

Action:

  • Aligned marketing and engineering efforts at the beginning of the product-development cycle on a common set of value drivers and strategies.
  • Provided an understanding of the market landscape, high-level customer needs, the competitive environment and the present technology/innovation and outlined the key success metrics.

Results:

  • Released improved version of the online account management tool on deadline.
  • Improvements addressed priority user issues such as ease of use, loading speeds, search results and Web support.
"I really, really want to thank you personally for the incredible dedication and work you showed on the 12/20 release project. There was a really critical few weeks of hard work that were above and beyond all the normal hard things you are working on (NGP release, etc) and you really rose to the occasion with an awesome attitude and a focus. This is the kind of stuff that makes 'legends' and makes great teams! So, I wanted to say a personal thanks and a big boost for the impact you made and will continue to make in this division moving forward."
